This vintage cast iron Uncle Sam mechanical bank reproduction is a striking piece of Americana nostalgia, bringing patriotic charm and functionality together. Modeled after the original late 19th-century design, this version captures Uncle Sam in his signature blue coat, red and white striped trousers, and a white top hat adorned with gold stars. He stands approx 10.5 inches.
The mechanical function remains intact—place a coin in Uncle Sam’s extended hand and press the lever behind his foot. The coin drops into the red bag marked "U.S." as his jaw moves, mimicking a nod. The base is boldly labeled "BANK" on the side, while the front features a golden eagle with the words "UNCLE SAM" above it.
The bottom is marked "CHINA", confirming this as a later reproduction rather than an antique original. Despite this, it retains the weight and build quality of early cast iron banks, making it a fantastic display piece or functional collector’s item.
